Tangle Company Tour

Water, Bread and Salt was a brand new township theatre inspired piece reflecting the themes of our 2014 Discovery Project, The Mandela Project. Adapted by Artistic Director Anna Coombs and featuring a capella songs arranged by composer Allyson Devenish , Water, Bread and Salt was a two-part poetic piece inspired by Nelson Mandela’s original writings.

The first piece, CAPTAIN OF MY SOUL, was a visceral exploration of Mandela's personal and private thoughts. The second piece, WATERSHED, was a poetic exploration of his public speeches crafted into a dynamic piece of township theatre. Performed by Tangle Company 2014, comprised of seven African – Caribbean actor-singers.
