A Tangle Company Tour

"No man is an island, entire of itself, Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main."

No One Is An Island is a collection of renaissance and contemporary poetry combined and adapted for performance by our in-house touring ensemble, Tangle Company 2017.

A performance in two parts, part one explores the human imagination and ambition of the renaissance man and part two a poetic exploration of the current political turbulence. Both parts are rhythmically woven together including a capella singing to form two powerful original pieces.

No One Is An Island premiered at Yinka Shonibare’s Guest Projects on Thursday 28 September 2017 as part of our annual Tangle Café night before touring South West England between October 2017.

Performed and led by Tangle Company 2017, our resident ensemble of African – Caribbean actor-singers.
