Sibusiso Mamba
Sibusiso Mamba is an actor, writer, director, and creative producer whose work spans Southern Africa, the UK, and the U.S. Trained at RADA, he has starred in acclaimed productions such as Fences, Othello, I See You, Sizwe Banzi is Dead and has written for major platforms including Skeem Saam, Rockville, Isidingo, Zero Tolerance, Yegna, Dichipi and more. His South African adaptation of Six Characters in Search of an Author earned five Naledi Award nominations, including Best Director, he also directed the first on African soil production of Inua Ellams’ Barber Shop Chronicles. As Head of Fiction at Girl Effect Global, he oversaw storytelling across multiple African countries, mentoring young creators and shaping content that empowers youth. He’s also a published playwright (Midnight Train to Sunrise, Taxi) and a trusted educator with teaching experience at, Rutgers, WITS, Wimbledon College of Art and has worked as an actor and facilitator with TANGLE for many years. Whether directing, producing, or guiding emerging talent, Mamba remains driven by a passion for telling bold African stories that are urgent, poetic and told with power, precision and global resonance.
